Every dog, every owner and every situation is different and that is why I assess each one individually and together we come up with a training plan to suit you.
There are hundreds of different ideas and theories about dog behaviour but I am there to help you solve your individual problem using only kind, reward-based training methods.
I will never force a dog to do anything it doesn’t want to do but using my methods the dog will decide to change its behaviour of its own accord, with no need for shouting, dominating or punishment.
Whatever the problem behaviour we can arrange a consultation, where I visit you and your dog in your own home. This usually lasts about 1.5-2hours but I will stay as long as it takes for you to feel confident with the methods we put into place. Follow up visits are not always needed.
During the consultation you will usually see an improvement in your pet’s behaviour but it is important to note that my methods are not a quick fix solution, there is no such thing in animal behaviour. A problem behaviour is usually deep routed and requires you to re-program the way the animal perceives a situation and its appropriate reaction. Changing a dog’s behaviour takes time, patience, understanding and commitment, but is certainly worth the hard work to see you and your dog happy at the end of it!

Dog Behaviour Consultation: £75 • Follow-Up Consultation: £30/hour
Mileage charges may be applicable to all services.
Payment must be made on or before the session (cash or bank transfer).
Full payment for blocks must be made on or before the first session.
You must give 24 hours notice if cancelling a booked session otherwise you will be charged the full amount.

Perfect-a-pet offers private one-one consultations to help you with any behaviour problems your dog may have. Every dog and situation are different so together we will come up with a behaviour management and training plan to solve your individual problems using the most up to date, positive training and behaviour techniques.
The perfect-a-puppy course is the perfect way to start your puppy off on the road to being a well adjusted, happy pet dog. We cover all the basics and focus greatly on that all important socialisation, but being a one-one course means we can tailor the training to exactly what you want from your puppy. Suitable for puppies aged 8 weeks to 6 months.
Dogs of any age and any background can be trained using modern, positive training techniques. My one-one training sessions are suitable for all levels, whether you want to just sharpen up your dog’s skills, advance beyond the basic puppy training or start from scratch with a dog who’s had no training at all.
Dog training should always be fun! Perfect-a-pet can offer training beyond basic obedience to help you have fun, build skills and have a better relationship with your dog. Things such as Rally-o, trick training, basic sniffer dog and fun dog agility exercises are all great ways to do this.
